AIR SERVICES LICENSING AMENDMENT ACT NO. 15 OF 1992 [ASSENTED TO 3 MARCH, 1992][DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 1 OCTOBER, 1992] (Afrikaans text signed by the State President) ACT To amend the Air Services Licensing Act, 1990, so as to replace the expression “Director-General: Transport” for certain purposes by the expression “Commissioner for Civil Aviation”; and to provide that an operating certificate may be issued for a shorter period than twelve months; and to provide for matters connected therewith. 1. Amends section 1 of the Air Services Licensing Act, No. 115 of 1990, by inserting the definition of “Commissioner for Civil Aviation”. 2. Amends section 22 of the Air Services Licensing Act, No. 115 of 1990, by substituting subsection (6). 3. Substitution for expression “Director-General” of expression “Commissioner for Civil Aviation” in Act 115 of 1990.—The principal Act is hereby amended by the substitution for the expression “Director-General” wherever it may occur in the principal Act, except in sections 1 and 9 and in Part I of the Schedule to the principal Act, of the expression “Commissioner for Civil Aviation”. 4. Short title and commencement.—This Act shall be called the Air Services Licensing Amendment Act, 1992, and shall come into operation on a date fixed by the State President by proclamation in the Gazette.
