AVIATION AMENDMENT ACT NO. 63 OF 1981 [ASSENTED TO 25 AUGUST, 1981][DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 16 SEPTEMBER, 1981] (Afrikaans text signed by the State President) ACT To amend the Aviation Act, 1962, so as to substitute certain designations; to delete references to the Senate; to make further provision as to a certain cargo restriction; and to effect certain textual improvements; and to provide for matters connected therewith. 1. Amends section 1 of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting the definition of “Minister”. 2. Amends section 3 of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting subsection (2). 3. Amends section 5 of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting subsection (6). 4. Amends section 8 (1) of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting the words “Director-General: Transport” for the words “Secretary for Transport”. 5. Amends section 9 of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting the words “Minister of Mineral and Energy Affairs” for the words “Minister of Mines”, wherever they occur. 6. Inserts section 15A in the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962. 7. Short title.—This Act shall be called the Aviation Amendment Act, 1981.
