AVIATION AMENDMENT ACT NO. 1 OF 1984 [ASSENTED TO 22 FEBRUARY, 1984][DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 2 MARCH, 1984] (English text signed by the State President) ACT To amend the Aviation Act, 1962, so as to grant the power in certain circumstances to detain aircraft also to members of the South African Railways Police Force; to extend the power of the Minister of Transport Affairs to make regulations; and to provide for the incorporation in the regulations of certain international aviation standards by means of a mere reference thereto in a notice issued by the said Minister; and to provide for incidental matters. 1. Amends section 15 (1) of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, by substituting paragraph (a). 2. Amends section 22 (1) of the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes paragraph (n); paragraph (b) deletes paragraph (nA); paragraph (c) deletes the word “and” at the end of paragraph (z); and paragraph (d) inserts paragraphs (zA) and (zB). 3. Inserts section 22A in the Aviation Act, No. 74 of 1962. 4. Short title.—This Act shall be called the Aviation Amendment Act, 1984.
