BLACK TRANSPORT SERVICES AMENDMENT ACT NO. 47 OF 1974 [ASSENTED TO 3 OCTOBER, 1974][DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 1 MARCH, 1975] (English text signed by the State President) ACT To amend the Black Transport Services Act, 1957, so as to extend the definitions of “employer” and “urban local authority”; to provide for the application of the said Act in respct of additional areas; and to make new provision for the determination of the rate of contribution to any special Black transport account; and to provide for incidental matters. 1. Amends section 1 (1) of the Black Transport Services Act, No. 53 of 1957, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes the definition of “employer”; paragraph (b) deletes the word “and” at the end of paragraph (a) of the definition of “urban local authority”; and paragraph (c) inserts paragraph (aA). 2. Amends section 2 of the Black Transport Services Act, No. 53 of 1957, as follows:—paragraph (a) deletes the word “and” at the end of subsection (1) (a); paragraph (b) adds subsection (1) (c); and paragraph (c) substitutes subsection (2) (c). 3. Amends section 3 of the Black Transport Services Act, No. 53 of 1957, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes subsection (1); and paragraph (b) substitutes subsection (4). 4. Short title and commencement.—This Act shall be called the Black Transport Services Amendment Act, 1974, and shall come into operation on a date fixed by the State President by proclamation in the Gazette.
