ACT

To amend the Merchant Shipping Act, 1951, in order to extend 
the powers of the Minister in respect of the disposal of wrecks 
or ships that have been wrecked, stranded or abandoned.

1.   Amends section 304A of the Merchant Shipping Act, No. 
57 of 1951, by substituting subsection (2).

2.   Short title.—This Act shall be called the Merchant Shipping 
Amendment Act, 1978.
