ACT

To amend the Merchant Shipping (Certificates of Competency) 
Act, 1925.

1 to 4 inclusive.   Amend respectively the following sections of 
the Merchant Shipping (Certificates of Competency) Act, No. 
45 of 1925:—8, 16, 18, 19. (Act No. 45 of 1925 repealed by s. 
1 of Act No. 57 of 1951).

5.   Short title.—This Act shall be called the Merchant Shipping 
(Certificates of Competency) Amendment Act, 1957, and shall 
come into operation upon a date to be fixed by the Governor-
General by proclamation in the Gazette.
