NATIONAL ROADS AMENDMENT ACT

ACT

To amend the National Roads Act, 1971, so as to extend the 
power of the National Transport Commission to raise moneys 
by way of loan; and to empower the said commission, for the 
purposes of carrying out agreements between the Government of 
the Republic and governments of other countries or territories, 
to exercise or perform certain powers, functions or duties in the 
countries or territories concerned; and to provide for matters 
connected therewith.

1.   Amends section 2 of the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 
1971, by inserting subsection (2A).

2.   Amends section 5 (1) of the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 
1971, by adding paragraph (m).

3.   Short title.—This Act shall be called the National Roads 
Amendment Act, 1981.
