SECOND NATIONAL ROADS AMENDMENT ACT

ACT

To amend the National Roads Act, 1971, so as to provide for 
the levying of toll on portions of national roads; and for matters 
connected therewith.

1.   Amends section 1 of the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 
1971, by inserting the definition of “toll road”.

2.   Amends section 2 of the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 
1971, as follows:— paragraph (a) inserts subsection (1) (bA); 
and paragraph (b) inserts subsection (3A).

3.   Amends section 6 (3) of the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 
1971, by substituting paragraph (a).

4.   Inserts section 9 in the National Roads Act, No. 54 of 1971.

5.   Short title.—This Act shall be called the Second National 
Roads Amendment Act, 1983.
