SOUTH AFRICAN ROADS BOARD AMENDMENT ACT NO. 15 OF 1995 [ASSENTED TO 28 JUNE, 1995][DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 5 JULY, 1995] (Afrikaans text signed by the President) ACT To amend the South African Roads Board Act, 1988, so as to increase the number of members of the South African Roads Board; and to abolish the Toll Roads Committee; and to provide for matters connected therewith. 1. Amends section 1 of the South African Roads Board Act, No. 74 of 1988, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes the definition of “committee”; paragraph (b) substitutes the definition of “employee”; paragraph (c) substitutes the definition of “officer”; and paragraph (d) deletes the definition of “Toll Roads Committee”. 2. Amends section 3 of the South African Roads Board Act, No. 74 of 1988, as follows:— paragraph (a) substitutes the words preceding subsection (1) (a); paragraph (b) substitutes subsection (1) (c); paragraph (c) deletes the word “and” at the end of subsection (1) (d); paragraph (d) inserts subsection (1) (dA); paragraph (e) substitutes subsection (1) (e); paragraph (f) substitutes subsection (2) (a); paragraph (g) substitutes subsection (2) (b) (ii); and paragraph (h) adds subsection (2) (b) (iv) and (v). 3. Repeals sections 6, 7 and 8 of the South African Roads Board Act, No. 74 of 1988. 4. Amends section 9 of the South African Roads Board Act, No. 74 of 1988, by substituting subsection (3). 5. Amends section 13 of the South African Roads Board Act, No. 74 of 1988, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes the words preceding subsection (3) (a); paragraph (b) substitutes subsection (3) (b); paragraph (c) deletes subsection (4); and paragraph (d) substitutes subsection (5). 6. Short title.—This Act shall be called the South African Roads Board Amendment Act, 1995.
