The Minister of Transport, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga, and the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma officiated the National Transport Summit on Universal Accessibility (UA) which was held from 25 to 26 April 2024 in Gauteng.
The Summit was graced and addressed by Republic of South Africa President, His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The White Paper on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (WPRPD) is intended to accelerate transformation and redress full inclusion, integration and equality for persons with disabilities. The Implementation of WPRPD is a vehicle for public, private and civil society sectors to do things differently and expedite the process of improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
